On July 15, 2002, CRZ put up black page with the title "Good night." at his wrestling website http://www.slashwrestling.com and then retired to his bedroom, where he put a high-powered handgun against the underside of his chin and pulled the trigger. He died instantly. His body was discovered the next morning by close friend Rick Scaia.
Rumor has it that this horrible act was brought about by the return of Eric Biscoff to television. It is also rumored that he had connections to the Canadian cigarette black market; this is unconfirmed.
Zimberman, or "Zee" as he liked to be called, had been writing recaps of TV wrestling shows such as "WWF MONDAY NIGHT RAW" and "WWF RAW" and "WWF RAW IS WAR" and "THE RAW ZONE" and "WWE RAW", providing a valuable service to people who did not own television sets.
In addition to regularly writing recaps of TV wrestling shows, serving as a moderator in rec.sport.pro-wrestling.moderated, and operating the RSPW Awards even though no one wanted him to anymore, he also worked professionally at something or other. Nobody knows what.
He will be missed. He's... WALKING! up to that big website in the sky.
